Welcome to the Brookes Learning and Teaching Conference 2014.
Building on the success of previous years, the conference is about giving us, the Brookes Learning and Teaching Community a Space to Learn – learn from each other, learn about each other and learn about ourselves. As we do each year, we have embraced new ways to share practice and meet the creative challenges of contemporary higher education – often involving staff and student partnerships.
Proposals have come from all levels of staff who support teaching and learning, and people or groups who have not previously shared their practice at the conference have been particularly warmly welcomed this year. Take a look at the draft programme of keynote talks, demonstrations, posters, small group activities and break-out sessions and decide how you want to spend your day in the new spaces we are now proud to offer our students.
We are delighted to be able to celebrate the conference in the new John Henry Brookes Building, which offers some stunning architectural spaces for us to use for learning, as well as some exciting new building technologies to experience.
